Crime Log: September 20 ― 26

A hit and run and petty thefts make up this week’s crime log.

Petty Theft ― Hope Hall

Reported Sept. 20, 8:07 a.m., occurred between Sept. 19, 10 p.m. and Sept. 20, 8 a.m.

A student reported the seat from their bicycle stolen. The incident was reported to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, who is continuing the investigation with Campus Safety.

Hit and Run: Property Damage ― Lot K

Reported Sept. 23, 5:56 p.m., occurred between Sept. 19, 9 a.m. and Sept. 20, 4 p.m.

A student reported damage to the bumper of their car. The student chose not to report the case to the LASD, but Campus Safety is continuing the investigation.

Petty Theft ― Stewart

Reported Sept. 25, 9:58 p.m., occurred between 9:52 p.m. and 9:57 p.m.

A student reported their unlocked bike stolen from the rack. The bike was later found at 10:53 p.m. with the owner on University Drive by Campus Safety. The bicycle had been taken by another student, who returned it to the owner. The case has been referred to Student Development.
