Crime Log: Sept. 12 - 19

A multitude of incidents make ups his week's Crime Log.

 

Obscene or Threatening Telephone Calls — Metzger Hall

Reported Sept. 12, 5:26 p.m., occurred Sept. 11, 9:49 p.m.

A staff member reported receiving a threatening phone call. The case was reported to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, which is continuing the investigation with Campus Safety.

Trespassing — Gatehouse #2

Reported Sept. 13, 2:43 p.m.

A Campus Safety employee observed an individual on a bicycle attempting to enter campus through the main gate at Biola Ave. An officer made contact with the person and advised them that the campus is private property. The individual left without further incident.

Sexual Battery: Forcible Fondling ― Tradewinds Apartment

Reported Sept. 14, occurred about 2:00 a.m.

This investigation remains active. More details to follow next week.

Furnishing Alcoholic Beverage(s) to a Minor/Possession of Marijuana ― Tradewinds Apartments

Reported Sept. 14, 12:15 p.m.

A student reported another student for providing alcoholic beverages to a minor and for possession of marijuana. Campus Safety searched the latter student’s room and confirmed the report. Both investigations are active.

Disturbing the Peace ― Li Apartments

Reported Sept. 15, 11:04 p.m.

A student reported loud noise coming from another room. Officers investigated, but the noise had stopped prior to their arrival.

Petty Theft ― Tropicana Apartments

Reported Sept. 16, 12:30 a.m., occurred Sept. 15, between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

A student reported their locked bicycle stolen. The case has not been reported to the LASD, but Campus Safety is continuing the investigation.
