Crime Log March 21 — April 5

Possession of marijuana, child abuse, and petty theft make up this week’s crime log.

Child Abuse or Endangerment — Lot A

March 21, 3:35 p.m.

A student reported concern about a how a child was being treated on campus. The case was referred to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

Hit and Run Property Damage — Lot D

March 22, between 10:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

A visitor reported a scrape on their vehicle. The case has not been referred to the LASD and Campus Safety is continuing the investigation.

Petty Theft — Blackstone Hall

Reported March 23, occurred between March 22, 11 p.m. and March 23, 7:30 p.m.

An individual reported their unlocked bicycle stolen from the bike rack. The case has been referred to the LASD, who is continuing the investigation alongside Campus Safety.

Trespassing — Metzger

March 24, 9 p.m.

An individual reported a trespasser on campus. An officer made contact and saw they were permitted to be on campus at that time.

Disturbing the Peace — Lot K

March 25, 12:44 a.m.

A student reported loud music from a Mock Rock team practicing in the parking structure. An officer made contact and told them to quiet down.

Possession of Marijuana — Lot G

March 26, 12:52 a.m.

An officer made contact with three individuals, two students and one visitor, and found one of the students in possession of marijuana. The student has been referred to Student Development for follow-up.

Disturbing the Peace — Tropicana Apartments

March 28, 6:39 p.m.

A student reported loud noises coming from a student’s film shooting. An officer made contact with the crew and told them to keep the noise down.

Petty Theft — Rose of Sharon Chapel

March 30, between 1:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.

A staff member reported their locked bicycle stolen from the bike rack. The case has been referred to the LASD and Campus Safety is continuing to investigate.
