Crime Log: Nov. 11 ― Nov. 17

A burglary, grand theft and vandalism make up this week’s crime log.

Burglary ― Lot K (Alpha parking structure)

Reported on Nov. 11, occurred Nov. 11 between 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

A vehicle’s window was smashed to remove items in view. The student filed a report with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

Burglary ― Lot K (Alpha parking structure)

Reported on Nov. 11, occurred Nov. 11 between 1:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.

The vehicle’s window was smashed and items were stolen. The student filed a report with the LASD. This incident is suspected to be related to the burglary crime that also occurred on Nov. 11 between 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. since both vehicles parked near each other.

Hit and Run: Property Damage ― Lot C (South Campus)

Occurred on Nov. 11, 9:37 p.m.

An employee witnessed a driver hit another vehicle and reported the incident to Campus Safety. Campus Safety contacted the individual whose vehicle was hit, but the individual did not file a report with either Campus Safety or the LASD.

Grand Theft ― Lot D

Reported Nov. 12, occurred Nov. 12 between 8:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.

A bag was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle. The individual filed a report with the LASD.

Vandalism ― Lot S (South Campus parking structure)

Reported Nov. 13, occurred prior to Nov. 13, 1:01 p.m.

An individual painted a smiley face inside the elevator. Campus Safety filed a request with facilities management to clean it.

Petty Theft ― Sigma Hall

Reported Nov. 16, occurred between Nov. 15, 7:55 p.m. and Nov. 16, 7:50 a.m.

A locked bicycle was stolen from the bicycle rack outside of Sigma. The student chose not to file with the LASD but is under investigation with Campus Safety.

Disturbing the Peace ― Hope Hall

Nov. 16, 11:11 p.m.

Two students were playing basketball after quiet hours. An officer made contact and asked them to leave without any further incident.
