Eagles Drop Close Game in San Marcos

The Eagles faced defeat against Cal State University San Marcos on Saturday, Sept. 20 with a final score of 1-0.

Senior midfielder Angel Mora scored the lone goal of the game for the CSU San Marcos Cougars.

A defensive battle, the game remained scoreless through the first half. The only goal of the game came from San Marcos in the 53rd minute, making it one of only five shots on goal that the Cougars had in the game.

The Eagles had a rough game offensively. Unable to fire any shots on goal during the entire game, they only managed to shoot four shots.

Junior goalkeeper J.T. Addington made four saves in the game for the Eagles.

This marks the second loss in a row for the Eagles, whose record is now 3-2-1. Biola starts Golden State Athletic Conference play on Tuesday against Arizona Christian.
