Occupy L.A. protestors were removed on Tuesday night from their encampment at City Hall Park, which they call "Solidarity Park." The police raid involving 1400 officers resulted in more than 200 arrests, according to Los Angeles police chief Charlie Beck. In contrast to many other camp evictions of Occupy protestors throughout the nation, the LAPD employed a "minimal use of force," Beck said. Tuesday's raid came on the heels of a [failed attempt](http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-1129-occupy-la-20111129,0,4247195,full.story "") to have occupiers evacuate Sunday night into early Monday morning.
