While performers are tuning up for tonight’s Punk ‘n Pie talent show, dorm residents are gearing up themselves — by creating jack-o-lanterns for the first-ever pumpkin carving contest.

Early indications show that only a handful of floors have started carving their pumpkins, and it is unclear how many entries will be ready for the judges tonight.

But among those who already sharpened their knives and cleared out slimy seeds from their pumpkins, tonight is serious business. See gallery for photos of students and their creations.
