    Investment club lives the financial crisis

    For the Crowell School of Business Investment Society, a financial club at Biola, the financial crisis has been more than just headlines. The group’s investment fund has gone down recently due to the unstable market. Christie Lam, the club president, said this is frustrating, but “the money has to spin.”

    Palin rallies local crowd in Carson

    Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin addressed Californians Saturday at the Home Depot Center in Carson, saying the state is still “Reagan country,” and she and her running mate Sen. John McCain will reform American politics. “What we believe in is what Ronald Reagan believed in: that is that America is a nation of exceptionalism,” she said to a wildly cheering audience that overflowed the 8,000-seat tennis stadium.
